Southern Utah Plant Swap

Our Next Swap: TBA

How it works

The Plant Swap:

  • Bring at least ONE plant to swap.

  • Swaps only, no plant sales

  • The more you bring the more you can trade!

  • Healthy, pest-free plants of all sorts are welcome.

  • Cuttings (also known as ā€œstartsā€) and baby plants (ā€œpupsā€), rooted or planted, are also good.

  • We will be bringing extra plants to share and seeing to it that no one leaves empty-handed. If you have extra starts you'd like to share please bring them for our plant newbies!

Meet the Team

A woman with long curly hair, glasses, and a white top sitting on a chair surrounded by various green houseplants, holding a small potted plant with trailing greenery.
  • I love plants and I love community. More than anything I'm glad I get to merge these two passions and see people of all ages and walks of life come together over our shared interest. Let our love for plants bring us together!

  • In 2014 I picked up my first house plants from Home Depot. Today I have over 75 and most are from Moss & Timber. I’m not an expert and barely know the proper names of any of my leafy friends, but I love them and I love the joy plants bring people.

FAQs

  • No, the plant swap is specifically for exchanging plants, and selling plants is not allowed. However, we occasionally collaborate with plant-related vendors who may set up shop at the swap. While they won't be selling plants, they could offer other plant-related items or information to enhance the overall experience. The primary focus remains on the community-driven exchange of plants among participants.

  • The minimal fee is implemented to encourage commitment and provide the organizers with an estimate of attendance. This helps in better event planning and ensures a positive experience for participants. Additionally, the modest fee assists in covering small operational costs associated with hosting the plant swap, ensuring the sustainability of future events.
